Astronomy: The Expanding Universe

The Quran mentions the expansion of the universe: 'And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.' (51:47).

The scientific confirmation came in 1929 when Edwin Hubble observed that galaxies are moving away from each other, providing the first evidence for the expanding universe. His work revolutionized our understanding of the cosmos.

Reflection: The Source of Knowledge

The concept of knowledge in Islam is the Guiding Light that separates truth from falsehood.

Just as the sun brings light to our eyes to see the physical world, knowledge is the source of guidance to see the signs of Allah everywhere around us.

"Which of the favors of your Lord will you both deny?"
Surah Ar-Rahman
